I woke up this morning thinking I wish I knew more about blogs in my earlier days of my hemorrhagic stroke, which left me with left side paralysis. My life was sad when I came home from the hospital. Why wouldn't it be? I woke up in the hospital to discover I was robbed of my mobility, where do I go from here?

As I celebrated my 10 years post stroke on March 19th, 2024, I realized I had come a long way! And, I have learned to be kinder to myself and be patient with my ''new me''. Remember those ''key words'' of wisdom please. You will survive this. I guarantee it.

My thoughts this morning, why hasn't anyone on any stroke recovery groups suggested solutions to stroke survivors problems? Such as, our everyday routines, our frustrations, our problems? Instead, I found people venting, complaining about every topic possible. I was frazzled to say the least, found myself more lost and jumped from one recovery group to the next and am now dedicating my website to my fellow stroke survivors to finding solutions to our our problems.

The title ''Blog This...''Kitchen essentials must-haves'' will be dedicated to finding products and/ or items we have tried and tested to reach out to our fellow Stroke Survivors Around the World.

Congratulations. You are officially reading my 1st ''Blog This...Kitchen essentials must-haves'''' to finding solutions to our problems. I say this because without the suggestions from our fellow stroke survivors...I would never have discovered the wonderful world of https://amzn.to/3U7Hu9Q ''adaptive cutting boards'' to give me the confidence in the kitchen again. It has been 10 years, and I have whipped up dishes I never thought was possible for me to cook! Nothing ventured, nothing gained right? So true. The adaptive cutting boards created a spark in me and got me excited about cooking again. It got me so excited, I was posting posting dishes on my facebook and sharing them with my recovery groups. What motivated me more was talking to a fellow stroke survivor, who had no energy to cook or try, until she started watching the dishes I cooked up with only my right hand and posted on my social media. ''you're an inspiration' I was thrilled to hear she went from waffles for dinner to cooking again. Sometimes in life, we just need that extra spark to move forward.

''adaptive cutting boards'' and the fabulous ''one touch can openers, https://amzn.to/3JlrWKW lets not forget the mandolin slicer https://amzn.to/3xI6rBl for my fellow stroke survivors...but trust me, it will not stop here. Where there is a problem, there is always a solution. IF YOU DON'T TRY...HOW WILL YOU KNOW HOW AMAZING YOU REALLY ARE?

I look back in 2019, when I hit a road block. I was all emotional about a can of soup. I could not open it with a regular can opener manual or electric. If I did not voice my frustration to my boyfriend (SG), I would not have discovered the endless possibilities of the ''one touch can openers'' that he researched and googled for me. ''was this for real?'' I was filled with excitement such a gadget existed. I was so thrilled, I could barely contain myself!

It takes (2) AA or (4) AA batteries and away you go. Otherwise, no soup for me! right?! The one touch can openers are also helpful for people with arthitis, that is a definite thumbs up!! So Grateful to my (SG).

Let's not forget the helpful, quick and simple vegetable chopper, https://amzn.to/3Q9n8MB our fellow stroke survivor (KH), ''vegetable chopper through amazon made my cooking skills a whole lot easier'' Definitely another thumbs up! and is essential to helping our creativity in our kitchens!

Please feel free to reach out to me with your questions, and lets find a solution to any problems! Let us venture back into the kitchen and create amazing!!

Thank you...
Without the help  and suggestions from my fellow stroke survivors around the World, this site would not exist.  As I celebrated my 10th year post stroke March 2024, this site was created to reach out to our fellow stroke survivors from serious topics to funny conversations.  It is here to give each other support/hints on what worked and what didnt't.  What may have worked for one stroke survivor may not work for another, but if it helped one person, It is progress.  This site is always being updated...keep in touch.
